Initial Design

After sitting together and brainstorming on the different types of cranes. We concluded with the following design. The type 3 crane.

Our reasoning was that it would be more practical given the situation. It can be broken into smaller parts to fit into a 4 by 4. It can be made so that the feet provide stability even on an uneven ground. If designed properly it would carry over 1000 kg.

After drawing a simple sketch of the design the green light was given. We decided to split into two groups to fasten the process. Group one will design the top half and group two will design the bottom half. there will be an overlapping section between the two groups when connected the two parts together.

From here on each group will further its research and designs.
